Excavation Rescue


Overview

This endorsed training programme is operated by Groundforce Training Services

This Course provides the necessary theoretical and practical exercises allowing staff to assist in the rescue of casualties when working in open excavations.

The Course Covers:

Legislation – Understanding employer/employee obligations relating to working in excavations and implementing rescue plans.

Harness use and inspection.

Identification and use of davit arm systems and various types of rescue equipment.

Practical exercises – rescue using davit arm systems, fold/roll up stretchers and rescue harnesses.


Mapping

Mapping has been carried out against parts of NOS EUSCS05 Emergency rescue and recovery of casualties from confined spaces.


Pre-requisites

Full Body Harness Training, confined space trained


Duration

The duration of this programme is 1 day.
