Replacement Cards and Updating your Personal Information
Ordering replacement cards
All new EUSR registrations are now issued with a virtual card instead of the previous plastic card. To access the virtual card, you need a smartphone or tablet and you need to register your mobile number with EUSR.
If you have lost a plastic card that was issued before February 2022 you will need to order a replacement virtual card via our online shop. Virtual cards mean you can never forget or lose your card. If you change smartphone or tablet, you can simply redownload the card to your new device. Virtual cards can be read by a card reader app which speeds up card checking times and increases security.
If you prefer to keep using a physical card, you can choose to add an optional plastic smart card to your order. Smart cards have a ‘smart chip’ embedded in them so they can also be read by a card reader app.
You may need to order two replacement cards. If you have more than one EUSR registration, you may need to order two replacement cards and not one. This is because all CSCS schemes now have their own registration card (CSCS schemes are all SHEA, NCO (Gas), NCO (Water) and Utilities Network Construction Supervisor). This is the same for both virtual cards and plastic smart cards.
When ordering a replacement card, you’ll be asked for your EUSR Registration Number. If you don’t know it, use ‘Register Search’ on the right-hand side of this page. Click on ‘Advanced Search’ and you will be able to search using your date of birth instead of the EUSR Registration Number.
Once you have completed the online form and paid the fee (see our Price List for current fees) we will send your replacement card out, usually within three to four working days.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove an individual’s EUSR registration where there is evidence of fraudulent activity, such as the use of fraudulent qualification certificates as evidence or, identity theft, whether or not the fraudulent activity was known to have taken place by the individual. We work closely with awarding bodies, CSCS, CITB and the Police where we are aware of such activity and will always take action.
Updating personal information
If you want to let us know of changes in your personal information or to update your photograph, you will need to either refresh an existing virtual card, order a new virtual card, or add an optional plastic smart card, you must visit our online shop. You can also click on the shopping trolley at the top right-hand side of this page.
You can update the following information:
- First name and/or Last name (name currently shown on your EUSR card)
- Date of Birth
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Employer name
- Photograph – this must be of your head and shoulders, with full face facing the camera – just the same as for a passport
Once you have completed the online form and paid the fee (see our Price List for current fees) we will process your request.
- If you’ve ordered a virtual card you will receive an SMS message giving you instructions on how to download and use the Vircarda app.
- If you’re refreshing an existing virtual card, you will receive a push notification to inform you your virtual card has been updated.
- If you’ve ordered a plastic smart card, we will send your replacement card out, usually within three to four working days.
