Safe Control of Mains Connections (Water) – extension of EUSR registrations

Following discussions with approved providers and employers across our sector, Energy & Utility Skills is extendingEUSR Safe Control of Mains Connections (Water) registrations until 20 June 2020 by three months.

This automatic extension will be applied to all individuals with an EUSR SCMC registration expiring between 30 March 2020 and 30 June 2020.

This action has been taken because we recognise that it is difficult for employers and individuals to access training in the current situation – some individuals will have an EUSR SCMC registration expiring which they won’t be able to renew.

This extension of the EUSR SCMC registration will give employers, and of course the individuals themselves, time to get their renewal training and assessment arranged and completed.

Once the renewal training and assessment has taken place, the start date of the renewal registration will be from the original expiry date.

With EUSR ID cards being delivered to offices and so many already closed or due to close, there will be delays in cards getting to individuals. We are therefore encouraging all companies and individuals to use EUSR, our online register (www.eusr.co.uk) to check SCMC registrations for the period of the pandemic.

The current situation is changing on a daily basis and we will continue to review our approach.

If you have any questions relating to this, please do call or email us.
