Utility Excavations Scheme – Redevelopment
To ensure are schemes are fit for purpose and still meet industry needs, we undertake redevelopment projects, where we review the scheme with industry support, to determine if there are any areas which need updating or whether any improvements can be made.
The Utility Excavations Scheme is designed for individuals who work on excavations operations and need relevant training and assessment to operate safely. The scheme was originally developed with both employers and training providers, and we want to ensure it still meets industry needs and is keeping up with the latest excavation operations and equipment.
We are currently undertaking a redevelopment project on UE, which involves reviewing the standards and scheme requirements, with the support of an industry group, over a series of development meetings.
Once we have finished the review and updated the standards and scheme requirement, we will then launch the updated scheme in the Autumn of this year.
