Network Construction Operations (Gas)

Application Process

All registrants for Network Construction Operations (Gas) (NCO(G)) at any level must hold a valid registration for the following:
Utility SHEA (Gas) or Gas Network Safety Passport (GNSP)

Applicants applying with Gas Network Operations (GNO) certificates must provide photocopies of these and complete the registration form. If applying for Main Laying for pipe sizes above 355mm an in-house certificate from the training provider must also be provided. A profuse pipe endorsement for large pipes is not sufficient. NCO(G) endorsements are valid for five years

NCO(G) Trainee endorsements are valid for one year to allow the trainee to complete their Level 1 qualification. A copy of the in-house Fundamental Gas Safety certificate must be provided with the application form.

 

Re-Registration

Re-Registration of expired GNO cards and alternative qualifications

Applicants who need to Re-Register due to expiry of a GNO endorsement, or who have an alternative accredited qualification should follow the process set out on the Re-Registration of Gas Network Operations/ Experienced Workers page. Please note that Gas Distribution (GD) (except the full level 3 NVQ GD Craftsman accredited by City & Guilds) qualifications are not accepted under this route.
