Licensed Centre
Only accredited training providers may deliver the SCO courses. To become accredited a training provider must meet the requirements of the entry criteria. Registration applications will only be accepted from licensed trainers working on behalf of accredited training providers.
To become licensed, trainers must meet the entry criteria and attend and pass the Energy & Utility Skills (EU Skills) SCO trainers course. Training provider accreditation is valid for twelve months from the date of issue and is renewed when supported with successful audit outcomes and a signed declaration of licensed trainers working with the training provider.
Quality Assurance Criteria
To provide assurance that there is capability and processes in place to quality assure trainers delivering SCO training and manage their ongoing development in risk management, companies should meet the following criteria;
Quality Management System (typically ISO 9000 series)
Experience of utilising, implementing or training in risk management systems as defined in HSG65
Experience in the delivery of similar competence based training and assessment schemes
Utilisation of training record management systems

To become an accredited SCO training provider you should apply in writing to Energy & Utility Skills to training@euskills.co.uk using the application form attached to this website. The application will be assessed and the outcome will be notified with any necessary feedback.
