Basic Electrical Safety Competence (BESC) assessment is delivered through a network of independent Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) accredited assessors. All assessors are regularly verified internally and externally to ensure consistency nationwide.

The assessment process should take no longer than one working day and will, as far as possible, be integrated into the normal work in progress. Some assessment centres may offer some in-house refresher training in addition to the assessment, however this is not mandatory.
