Water Network Safety Passport

Scheme Overview

The Water Network Safety Passport (WNSP) was developed in line with Health & Safety Executive best practice guidance for passport schemes to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training nationwide. It applied to all persons who required access to water sites, both mobile and fixed which engaged in operations on the water network.

A WNSP card was valid for three years from date of training.

Expiry

The Water Network Safety Passport scheme was replaced in 2007 with Utility SHEA (Water).
Unexpired WNSP cards remain valid until their expiry date, however upon expiry must be replaced by completing the Utility SHEA (Water) scheme.
